Costa Coffee has opened a brand new drive-thru in Sandyford, Stoke-On-Trent on the new Rileys Court mini-retail park. The modern design is a mixture of render, huge windows and Western Red Cedar timber cladding.
Western Red Cedar is extremely well known for its durability and versatility. It is responsibly and sustainably harvested in British Columbia,Canada and is popular due to its variation in colour ranging from a dark chocolate brown to a salmon pink. When uncoated these colours will gradually be lost and the timber will weather to a silvery grey shade depending on exposure and elevation.
We are commonly asked by customers how they can maintain a natural Cedar look and prevent the timber from weathering to an often uneven silvery grey tone.
Working with a range of manufacturers we have been able to develop and create a natural colour tone for Western Red Cedar. The coating system is a medium film build which offers exceptional durability and protection from the elements.
