A careful balance of pigments and binders mean the coating accentuates the grain of the timber, adding colour, while maintaining the natural warmth of timber cladding.
Timber cladding is a natural material and each species has its own characteristics which need to be considered at the design stage in order to optimise performance. Considerations also need to be made to factors such as species, profile, orientation and surface finish in order to specify the correct coating system.
Our coating partners all have their own standard range of translucent shades, with the option also available to use a RAL colour code to produce a translucent finish and our colour matching service is also available for projects requiring a truly bespoke cladding finish.
All of our coatings are water based systems which are environmentally friendly and contain low levels of VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Translucent coating systems vary in the film build and amount of coats required depending on the manufacturer and system specification.
