Project Name – Chichester House

Location – Bosham, Chichester

Timber Species – Siberian Larch

Surface Finish – Structured

Coating System – SiOO:X Light Grey

This newly built home sits on a 1.5 acre plot and falls in an area of SSSI (Site of Special Scientific interest) and a AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). This resulted in a design brief that had to enhance the naturally beautiful landscape.

Siberian Larch cladding was chosen for its natural durability properties and its stunning grain structure. In order to prevent uneven and often unsightly weathering, the client was keen to have the timber factory coated in order to achieve an even and consistent weathered appearance.

After discussing options and coating systems SiOO:X Light Grey was chosen due to its environmental credentials and its ability to naturally weather the timber to a consistent shade of silvery-grey.
